Setting up a new blog for WordPress I thought that it might be time to update the short list of Ping Services given to us via WordPress.
Default for WordPress:
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

It says that it pings all major services. How come everyone uses so many services then? How come WordPress also gives you a couple of more Update Services?

I did a Google Search to look for more information and mostly just found lists of ping services.

There were http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-ping-list

There are about 200 listed here http://wordpresspinglist.com/wordpress_pinglist.txt

I removed the duplicates and posted them on Google Docs.  There are click here for 197 Ping services for WordPress. That list also includes the default for WordPress pingomatic, so select-all-paste.

Can’t wait to see if we can get to 200 ;) anyone want to send me three more?
